When you think of an airport, what comes to mind? Travel, vacations, business trips, hellos and goodbyes. I think of new beginnings. This is the story of meeting my birth family through a series of serendipitous events and incredible circumstances, marked by special trips to airports around the world
Right before Christmas in December 1986, I flew into Boston Logan Airport from South Korea to meet my Mom and Dad.
In 1991, we all piled into a limo headed to JFK to come back with my new little brother. My Mom said it was a special occasion, meeting Greg for the first time, so we all got dressed up and set up the house with welcome home decorations.
As we waited at the arrival gate for Greg, I told my Dad that we would have to take him back if it didn’t work out.
Then, in 2013 I landed in Seoul, South Korea and met my birth mom and half siblings for the first time at the arrivals gate.
